Grievance Day happens once a year. Don't miss it.
Good to know.
How much does it cost?
Checking is free. If we file and your assessment goes down, our fee is a share of your first year's savings. If it doesn't go down, you pay nothing. You'll see the exact fee before you sign.
How accurate is the estimate?
It's based on up to five similar homes nearby that sold since 2024. It's usually within about 10%, so we only call a case "likely" when the gap is 20% or more.
Do I have to go to a hearing?
Usually not. The town's review board can decide from the written form, though it may ask for more information. We handle the appeal and any follow-up.
When will I know?
Grievances are due in late May. The town's final values come out in early July, and the lower amount shows up on the tax bills after that.
Do you save my information?
Checking is anonymous. The check runs in your browser using public records, and we don't store what you look up. If you start an appeal, we save only the contact details you enter, to prepare your appeal. See our privacy page.
